Danlex has delivered and installed baggage carousels, baggage transport systems for departures and arrivals, check-in conveyors and check-in counters.

With the new equipment the two international seaside airports cover their seasonal needs in terms of passenger services capacity.

The equipment delivered by Danlex is in compliance with all European and international standards for Aviation Security. New security check-points for passengers, carry-on and registered luggage have been equipped with those systems.

The specialists from both airports have been trained to operate the new equipment.

The delivered systems are the first in Bulgaria working in tri-mode - not only does the equipment detect Narcotics and Explosives, but also Chemical Warfare Agents.

The X-ray systems for Sofia Airport represent a donation by the Society for Technical Mutual Aid (Gesellschaft fuer Technische Zusammenarbeit GTZ) to the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany.

Danlex was awarded as a supplier because of the high quality of the products offered and the qualification of its service specialists. Up to now the company has executed more than 30 projects with X-ray systems included.

The donation was handed over on an official ceremony at the VIP zone of a new Terminal 2 in the presence of the German Ambassador His Excellency Mr. Gaier, the Minister of Transport Mr. Mutafchiev and Mr. Plamen Dimitrov, Executive Director of Sofia Airport.
